The garden

The incense sticks,
Burning furiously.
Their sacrifice,
Transcended us...
Into a garden of Jasmines;
All in bloom and so fragrant;
I was hypnotised
By the swirling smoke,
That enveloped me...
I sought refuge in your arms;
To hide my inner self.
Your beautiful eyes,
They followed me
Till I surrendered;
Your breath was toxic,
Feeling my pulse,
Your lips,
Spreading the poison,
Crushing mine.
Our beings smothered,
by the scented smoke,
In that enchanted garden
Where we found our souls...
